European Destinations | Part Two

So let's see where we left off -- the first half of our trip will be spent in Brussels, Bruges, and Amsterdam.  From there, we'll take an overnight train to the beautiful city of Munich, Germany!

My "cool" side is excited about the pretzels and beer gardens and my nerdy history-lover side is practically foaming at the mouth to see Dachau and Neuschwanstein Castle.  We'll be in Munich for four days, so we'll have plenty of time to explore and take it all in.

After Munich, we'll make our way to the last stop on our European tour -- Prague, Czech Republic.

Prague is the city that was recommended to us more times than any other city combined. It's funny, when I ask people what they liked most about Prague, the answer is always the same -- "everything".  Needless to say, my hopes are high!  We don't have any sites or day trips planned while we spend our four days in Prague -- we figure we'll just wander (with lax jaws, I'm sure).  Prague veterans, if there is anything that we absolutely, positively cannot miss, holla at your girl.

So there you have it -- the itinerary for our first European adventure.

How'd we do?

  7. These pictures are all so gorgeous! I visited Germany and Munich specifically in high school and sadly I don't think I appreciated it for all that it was! I just looked back at your first post and I love that you guys are choosing to focus on a few cities instead of trying to see everything!

  8. You really captured some lovely shots there. My answer would be "everything" too. What's not to love in such a stunning city? I was there only last month and I saw more in week than I have on any other destination in my life. I was helped by an interactive Prague guide which I got here http://www.prague.schulz.cz/.
A lot nicer than carrying around a heavy guide book and because it was written by contribution from locals it really got me to some places that I would never have seen otherwise.
