Solo Weekend

This past weekend, everyone and their mother was out of town.  Except for me, of course.

I started the my ridin' solo weekend by getting to the gym bright and early (I'm still proud of this), showered/washed my hair (even MORE proud of this), and got dressed for a day of "me" time.

I browsed in Barnes & Noble for a few hours (mostly in the travel section) and ended up purchasing Rick Steves' Europe Through the Back Door and Girls in White Dresses, which was on clearance for $5.  I've seen it on a few reading lists, but I'd love some feedback on Girls in White Dresses if you've read it!

Since Barnes & Noble is right next door to Ann Taylor Loft, I stuck my head inside.  The entire store was 40% off (although, when is it not?), so I tried on a few things for kicks.

The Loft's Lou & Grey line really, really impressed me.  The quality is higher than the rest of the store, in my opinion.  L&G is usually not included in the Loft's sale promotions, but it was my lucky day.  I ended up leaving with the striped tee for around $10 or so.

I made a few more random stops, and then 5:30PM I was ready for dinner.
Yes, I have the eating habits of a 75 year old.

For dinner, I had fro-yo (more accurately, toppings with a side of fro-yo), microwaved popcorn, and Guinness... because I'm an adult and I do what I want, okaaaaay?

The rest of the night was spent cuddling with the cutest pup in the world and reading.

So, yep.  That's what I did with my lonely Saturday.  NOT TOO SHABBY.

Things I didn't do:
Make the bed
Vacuum
Unload the dishwasher
Cook anything (besides the microwavable popcorn, but does that really count?)
Laundry
Organize my closet
Scrub toilets or showers
Give the dog a bath
Go to the grocery store (well, I did, but only to buy beer)
Call an old friend
Paint my office
Enjoy nature

How was your weekend?*

*I know that it's Tuesday and you people who are on top of everything already discussed your weekends yesterday, but just humor me, please.

  6. I need to stop in Loft and checkout that new line. The striped tee is so cute and I love the jacket! Toppings with a side of froyo is always acceptable in my book; for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
