When it comes to fashion, everyone has a different opinion on when to save vs. when to splurge. Some people like expensive shoes, some like highend denim, while others splurge on jewelry. I'm an equal opportunity employer when it comes to clothing, jewelry and shoes. From DVF to Forever21, I'll wear it all. So what gets my credit card juices a-flowin'?
Luxury handbags.
What can I say? I'm a girl that lives and dies for absurdly expensive handbags. I truly believe that you can be wearing head-to-toe Old Navy and still look like a million bucks if you have the Yves St Laurent Sac de Jour in the crook of your arm. A good handbag elevates any outfit to new levels.
Obviously, loving expensive bags means that I don't replace my handbag every season. Hell, I only actually own two bags (not including one cheapy crossbody for going out and spilling house tequila on). Quality over quantity, folks. Since I only buy a new bag every few years, I spend a lot of time plotting out my next target. Let me introduce you to contestant #1...

Y'all. Isn't she cute? She can be dress up, she can dress down, she can go from day to night, winter to summer.... she's an all-around winner.
There a few other contenders fighting for the title of my next bag, this one is in the lead since it seems more attainable than the rest. As far as designer bags go, it's not too expensive. With that said, I still have a LOT of saving to do, so it's not going to happen immediately.
But soon.*
Not like I'm getting ahead of myself or anything, but I might already be panicking about choosing a color.

I am so with you on this one - I splurge on bags and always will!! I love the Gucci bag you have picked out!! I've seen the red a lot and think a color that's neutral would be best - especially since it's a splurge!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that handbags are my number one splurge. Makes sense since I use it EVERYDAY it ought to be something that can last. My last big purchase was my LV Speedy in the largest size. Bought it in 2011 and still find myself going back to it over and over again. It's like the one that never got away!

ReplyDeleteOh girl, you and me both! Target $10 flats on my feet, $1000 bag on my arm. It's sad but true. ;-) Love this Gucci bag! Have you checked the Gucci outlets? I've found some great bags at my Gucci outlet - it's where I bought both my large overnight travel bags, and for only $800 each. A steal!!
