Ahhhh. Do you feel that?
AWARDS SEASON IS UPON US.
I live for awards season. I love the process of watching all of the nominated films and cheering on my favorites. But like most others, I really adore awards season for the red carpet -- the gowns, the jewels, the hair, the makeup.
Sadly, I wasn't able to watch the red carpet this year since we cut out cable, but I did check out all of the fashion online and was oddly...disappointed. There may be a few that I missed, but most of what I saw was rather boring. It didn't appear that too many risks were taken, and that kind of makes me sad.
Naturally, I started daydreaming about what I would wear to the Golden Globes if I had access to the most talented designers in the world. I would save a classic, sophisticated, Hollywood glam look for the Oscars. Since the Golden Globes is the Oscars' drunker little sister, the night begs for a young, modern, fun ensemble. A girl needs something that screams that she's here to party and doesn't take fashion too seriously. Save the serious gowns for a more serious night!
Qualities I would look for in a Golden Globes gown: architectural details, a well-done print, or at least one element of surprise.

It appears that I have a little thing for Naeem Khan. Naeem, if I ever become rich and famous, will you be my BFF go-to designer for major functions? Thanks, babe!*
Did you have any favorites on the red carpet last night?
What kind of gown would you want to wear to the Golden Globes?
*OMG. I am, like, already so good at Hollywood talk.
